badly set up alarms give a lot of false positives causing nuisance noise

Preventing Nuisance Noise For Neighbours From Accidentally Triggered Alarms

Many customers worry that an alarm can be activated by accident and cause nuisance noise to neighbours whilst they are away.  We can discuss features which help to prevent accidental triggers of the alarm.

Protect Against Neighbours Ignoring Genuine Alarms

Alarms which are triggered regularly for no reason can also lead to a depleted reaction from those in the surrounding area when you are away as they become weary of nuisance noise - 'the boy who cried wolf' syndrome.

Prevent Animals From Triggering False Alarms

Sensors can be set at heights which are not triggered by foxes and other animals around the perimeter of the building for example.  Pet-friendly systems and beam towers can detect movement of people whilst not being set off by birds etc.  We can also work with you to identify windows, flat roofs etc which present higher risk factors and ensure high security pressure and impact sensors are in place which are designed to detect intruder damage or movement rather than wild animals and pets.

Limit Length of False Alarm Sounding

We can also install alarms which only sound externally for up to 15 minutes and then reset themselves ready to protect the property further.

Life Saving Smoke Alarms

We can also test that linked smoke alarms around your home or premises are in good working order to provide vital protection whilst not being prone to false triggering, preventing disturbed sleep patterns, young children waking unnecessarily and allowing shift workers to rest.
